project purpose

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the U.S. 501 Business (Langhorne Road) corridor between Halsey Road and Tate Springs Road. The identified VTrans high priority needs, safety improvement, bicycle access, and transportation demand management, will be the focus of the study. Additional priorities, including pedestrian access, pedestrian safety improvement, and transit access, will also be reviewed and analyzed. The project recommendations made as part of this study may be developed into future funding applications for SMART SCALE and other transportation funding programs.
