The survey regarding potential transportation safety, congestion mitigation, capacity preservation and bicycle/pedestrian access improvements along Route 220/220 Alt (Roanoke Rd./Cloverdale Rd.) between Route 11 (Lee Hwy.) and Commons Pkwy in Botetourt County is complete.


project purpose

The project objectives are to address safety, congestion, capacity preservation, and bicycle/pedestrian access concerns along the Route 220 / 220 Alt (Roanoke Rd / Cloverdale Rd) corridor. One node and one segment were identified as VTrans Priority 1 needs along the study corridor, with 4 additional segments identified as Priority 2 needs. Goals are to identify safety and operational improvements to reduce congestion and improve safety and access for all transportation users.
