ST01: 11/South Main Street

Mosby Road TO Pleasant Valley Road

survey

The survey regarding potential transportation safety improvements along Route 11 (S. Main St.) between Pleasant Valley Rd. and Mosby Rd. is complete. The survey was provided in English, Spanish and Arabic.

project purpose

The focus of this study is to assess historical crashes on Route 11 and identify safety improvements. Pleasant Valley Rd is PSI Intersection #13, while the segment between Pleasant Valley Rd and Southgate Ct is PSI Segment #50. Access management is expected to play a key role in solutions. Multimodal accessibility will be evaluated (very high need for bike access, high need for pedestrian safety improvement) and solutions recommended where appropriate. Investigate opportunities for project phasing.
