*Note: The Project Pipeline US Route 50/Arlington Boulevard and VA Route 27/Washington Boulevard Study (NV-23-06) is adjacent to the Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study that assessed potential safety and operational improvements for less than one mile of US Route 50/Arlington Boulevard between Glebe Road and Fillmore Street in Arlington County.


Survey

The Phase 1 survey regarding potential transportation safety, congestion mitigation, capacity preservation, access, transportation demand management, and bicycle, pedestrian, and transit improvements on US Route 50 (Arlington Blvd.) between Fillmore St. and N. Pershing Dr. and on VA Route 27 (Washington Blvd.) between Columbia Pike and N. Pershing Dr. in Arlington County is complete.


project purpose

The focus of this study is to assess the key areas of US Route 50/Arlington Boulevard between Fillmore Street and N. Pershing Drive and on VA Route 27/Washington Boulevard between Columbia Pike and N. Pershing Drive in Arlington County. The study will seek to identify ways to improve safety for all users, and bicycle, pedestrian, and transit mobility throughout the study area. Transportation demand management, capacity preservation, and congestion mitigation will also be key components of the study.
