The Phase 2 survey regarding potential improvements along Route 86 (Central Blvd.) between north of Memorial Dr. and Industrial Ave. in the City of Danville is complete.

Project Purpose

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the Route 86 (Central Boulevard) corridor between Industrial Avenue and north of Memorial Drive. The identified VTrans high priority needs, safety improvement, bicycle access, pedestrian access, pedestrian safety improvement, and transit access, will be the focus of the study. Additional priorities, including rail on-time performance and transportation demand management, will also be reviewed and analyzed. The project recommendations made as part of this study may be developed into future funding applications for SMART SCALE and other transportation funding programs.
